Pennisetum is easy to grow and looks its best in summer.
Latin name: Pennisetum Orientale.
Soil type: Prefers well drained soil.
Feeding instructions: John Innes No.2 compost and general purpose fertiliser.
Planting instructions: Plant for sun.
Flowering period: June - August.
Eventual height and spread: Grows up to 60cm (height) and 75cm (spread).
Hardiness: Can survive temperatures down to -5c and is covered by the plant guarantee.
Features: Makes a spectacular display in containers. An attractive choice for a grvel-style garden.
Care instructions: Cut back stems to ground level in early spring.
