Magnolia Stellata

Magnolia stellata can be deciduous or evergreen trees or shrubs, with large, showy, often fragrant flowers, often opening before the leaves, and sometimes followed by colourful cone-like fruit.  Magnolia is a slow-growing medium-sized deciduous shrub of broadly rounded habit that grows to 3m (10ft) x 4m (13ft). Abundant, star-shaped, many-petalled pure white or faintly blushed flowers from early to mid-spring.
