Disco Diva

Take a trip down memory lane and head back to the 70s at our disco party! From The Brady Bunch to Scooby-Doo, the 70s were a time of dancing, far out fashion and fondue. So have fun, hang out and grab a bean bag chair while we give you tips on disco party invitations, decorating, food, favors and groovy games!

The 70’s were all about disco! Take a trip back in time and throw a groovy disco theme party. There are tons of ways to have fun with some of the more memorable fads of the 70’s.

Part of the fun in having a disco theme is getting to dress up in all those funky 70’s threads. Challenge your friends to put together the grooviest of duds. Some Disco and 70’s fashion trends include: afro’s, leisure suits, bell bottoms, platform shoes, wide-collared shirts, bright scarves, funky patterns …. The list continues.

For a great party we will serve up some of the tasty foods for parties you remember from the seventies!

We'll set aside a place for a disco floor and crank out some 70s tunes so your guests can boogie down. Here are some additional ideas that will help you create a total disco atmosphere for your 70s party including setting up a karaoke machine that's loaded with disco music. Everyone can dance while everyone takes turns singing. Don't forget to video tape the show!

For a truly disco party atosphere we'll dim the lights and hang a disco ball and tissue paper balls from the ceiling.  String colored lights in the shape of a square on the floor to create a dance floor. Place inflatable or bean bag chairs around the room. Set out classic board games from the 70s including Chutes and Ladders, Chinese Checkers, Sorry!, Clue, and Twister. You can also set out marbles and jacks and then teach the kids how to play. Instructions for these games can be found at the bottom of this page. Hang beaded curtains or crepe paper streamers from the party's entrance.  To crank up the mood we'll even set out a box of dress up clothes that include sunglasses, wigs, Afro style wigs, bell bottoms, and other 70s inspired clothing and accessories. Disposable cameras will also be placed on each party table so the guests can take photos of themselves dressed up!
